The current trend for companies to concentrate on their own core business and outsource all supporting services has been extensively applied
in healthcare facilities since the '90s, outsourcing many activities not directly related to patient services. But outsourcing of healthcare
services has often been limited by the need for specialised training of personnel and the need to have an interlocutor capable of managing
and coordinating personnel in hospital wards and maintaining relations with medical staff and healthcare management.
OSA has developed a personnel training programme and acquired coordinators with specific experience in working in hospitals and set up
effective management models for nursing and auxiliary services in hospitals and complex operative units.
OSA has developed a series of outstanding partnerships with prestigious hospitals such as Policlinico Umberto I, Ospedale Sant'Andrea
and Ospedale Bambino Gesù in Rome.
OSA is now the biggest organisation of this kind in Italy in terms of size and number of members.
In 2002 OSA obtained
ISO 9002 quality certification in the specific sector of hospital outsourcing.
