Cooperativa OSA's Healthcare Management avails itself of the assistance of an Assessment and Control Organisation, a Technical and Scientific
Committee.
The Committee is concerned with providing general guidelines for verification of operations and coordinating scientific activities such as:
- publications in scientific magazines
- publications and participation in international conventions
- publications and participation in national conventions
It is also the point for verification of activities performed and results obtained in terms of objective and subjective improvement of the
quality of life of patients receiving assistance and verification of congruity of these results with expressed and latent social needs (expected results).
In order to implement these activities the Cooperative has set up a number of important partnerships with scientific institutions, described
in greater detail in the paragraph below.
The Technical and Scientific Committee works with Healthcare Management to identify modes of operation and procedures for improving the
quality of the healthcare services provided and represents a strategic centre for research, selection and development of areas for action in
the cooperative's social and healthcare services.
The Committee performs its tasks with periodic meetings, to which the managers and coordinators of individual services may also be invited.
This facilitates interaction between the Technical and Scientific Committee, Healthcare Management and the people who coordinate healthcare services.
This kind of communication is important to determine protocols and quality standards for providing services, which will be applied by the coordinators
and checked by Healthcare Management.
