INTEGRATED HOME-BASED CARE Nursing, Rehabilitation and Social Services
OSA started offering home-based care to people with AIDS in 1989.
Starting with this important experience – which continues today - OSA has developed numerous partnerships with important public
health units in Italy to supply home-based healthcare services.
These services are offered to seniors, the disabled and patients with particular pathologies which require advanced healthcare
services and technology in the home. The growth in services of this kind has allows OSA to develop know-how and professionalism
in the field.
The "pool" coordinating these activities and OSA's Healthcare Management consist primarily of doctors, nurses and rehabilitation
therapists with more than a decade of experience in this difficult field.
The thousands of patients we assist every year, the variety of forms of assistance we offer and the geographic distribution of patients
in different parts of Italy where OSA works have allowed the Cooperative to develop specific models of service and advanced forms of organisation.
Moreover, an information system has been developed, and continues to evolve, for management of case assignment, quality control and processing of statistics.
In 2003 OSA started working not only under agreements with public facilities but as a provider of private home care services under the "Mai Soli" trademark.
In 2001 OSA obtained ISO 9002 quality certification in the specific field of home-based healthcare services, and in 2003 it adapted to the updated version, ISO 9001:2000
