CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (SA8000)<\/h4>\n

The SA (Social Accountability) 8000 standard is an international standard developed in 1997 by the American entity, SAI, to define the social requirements that an organisation must possess to provide a guarantee of the ethics of its production cycle. The standard is based on the International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Since 2016, OSA has chosen to adhere to the standard and build a Management System for Corporate Social Responsibility, then certified in 2017, aimed at improving the well-being of its members. Through SA8000, the Cooperative undertakes to combat child labour in all its forms and to protect young workers; refrain from any form of coercion at work; guarantee safety and health in the workplace; support the freedom of trade union association and the protection of collective bargaining; combat any form of discrimination based on sex, race, political, sexual or religious orientation. And again: comply with current laws, collective bargaining and the Internal Regulations on working hours and disciplinary procedures; pay adequate remuneration based on the job performed and govern a process aimed at continuous improvement in each of the previous activities (Management System).<\/p>\n
