ISO 14001 provides guidance and a valid tool for companies that want to learn about the impact of their activities on the environment and allows to implement a Management System that controls environmental analyses in production sites, introduces the concept of risk analysis, defines specific responsibilities in environmental matters, defines, applies and maintains the requirements of the legislation, monitors activities with an impact on the environment. The adoption of a certified Environmental Management System therefore allows the control and maintenance of legislative compliance, the maintenance of environmental performance, the reduction of waste, facilitations in financing procedures, bureaucratic simplifications for tenders, calls for tenders or European projects, the guarantee of an approach oriented to environmental emergencies.<\/p>\n
