The European Council set targets and areas for energy efficiency for the Member States. I n Italy, Law no. 102\/2014 implementing the European Directive 2012\/27 introduced the obligation for Large and Small and Medium Enterprises with high energy consumption to adopt measures for the promotion and improvement of energy efficiency. OSA has strategically chosen to adopt an energy management system, which involves a periodic energy analysis of the activities carried out, continuous monitoring of complex energy consumption and an improvement plan in energy management. The advantages are manifold. From greater awareness of consumption from a management perspective, resulting in a reduction in waste and an increase in margins to a reduction in operating costs resulting from investments in energy-efficient technologies.<\/p>\n
