On 18 December 2019<\/strong>, in collaboration with the Fondazione Ebri – Istituto Rita Levi Montalcin<\/strong> i (European Brain Research Institute), OSA organised the Conference \u201cResearch, Models and Care\u201d at the prestigious headquarters of Palazzo dei Normanni in Palermo. The OSA proposals for the future of Integrated Home Care\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the presence of numerous representatives of the institutions, a large and highly qualified group of rapporteurs addressed from all points of view – social, health, economic, cultural and institutional – the importance of overcoming the tendering mechanism and adopting a transparent and solidarity-based accreditation model for home care in Sicily. The aim is to allow families to choose between different operators competing for quality and effectiveness of services, rewarding the best organised structures.<\/p>\n

During the rich and articulated debate, the numerous critical issues emerged but also the extraordinary opportunities<\/strong> for a process of adaptation of health policies and performance models initiated also in Sicily, which sees the Home Care service increasingly in the forefront for its ability to concretely approach the daily care needs of a growing number of people.<\/p>\n
