OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (ISO 45001)

The ISO 45001 standard defines the requirements for the “management systems for health and safety at work” and is now recognised as a reference standard for the construction of an organisational model that complies with the requirements of the Consolidated Law on Safety (LEGISLATIVE DECREE 81/08). In 2010, OSA voluntarily chose to adopt a model to systematically and controlled all aspects of safety at work, and managed to obtain the relative certification. The application of the standard has allowed the Cooperative to establish a Safety Management System that has minimised and eliminated, where possible, the risks associated with work activities and has provided safe and healthy jobs to its members. OSA has also had benefits in terms of reducing the number of accidents and has found better management of health and safety risks and a reduction in the accident rate during work.
